Online Policy Community Participation: All students and parents are responsible to inform Ms.Chien about their email addresses and change of email addresses.
A Privilege, Not a Right: Having an online resource for science class, whether its email, or web page use is definitely a privilege. Ms Chien has the right to take this priviliege way against anyone in the community who violate this privilege. Violation of this privilege includes: slander, disrespect to anyone in the community in any aspect of the technology, using the resource as an excuse for lack of work. Students who violate this privilage will be reprimanded appropriately. Parents will be notified.
What will be posted: The Online resource is a supplementary tool for your learning. It should never replace the activities we do in class. Therefore: (a) only major projects and activities will be posted, (b) handouts will be posted where Ms.Chien deems fit, (c) daily homeworks, quizzes and exams WILL NOT be posted. It is the student's responsibility to write down homework during class. MsChien can accommodate for those students who are ill and have a legitate excuse...
The Technology Excuse: Using broken technology as an excuse for missing, incomplete or poor assignments is NOT accepted. Talk to MsChien if you need help ahead of time so that we can give you the tools we need. The school has computers available for you to use. Being technologically literate is an important part of your education, and you need to work your way around obstacles.
Email Responses: Please allow 24-48 hours for Ms.Chien to respond to any email.
