TASK 1 for EVERYONE: Plant Collection
We will start a herbarium in the Fall. In order to have an awesome array of plants in our classroom, each one of you will collect and press one plant of your choice (see rules below). You must collect the plant and PRESS it before the summer ends. Here is a good website on how to collect and press plants.
Rules for Plant Collection:
- DO NOT collect bushes, trees, houseplants nor vase plants.
- Plants need to have its "guts"; the plant need to have its flowers, leaves well shown, and roots
- RECORD the specific location where you obtained the plant (city, state, street, address, longitude and latitude position)
- TAKE A PHOTO of your plant before you extract it from the ground.
