The IB Biology HL course is a part of the Diploma Program of the International Baccalaureate Organization. You can view the complete IB Biology HL outline and curricula here. IB Biology aims at developing individuals into impressive critical thinkers through a program that is challenging and stimulating on both intellectual and personal levels. Throughout their two years of science training, IB Biology students become inquisitive individuals who take calculated risks and are reflective about their understanding of scientific principles and skills. IB Biology students are pushed to become caring and open-minded learners as they take the leap to connect and apply science, math and technology to their own lives, the lives of others and their environment. It is through the lens of a scientist-in-training that IB science students become one of the most principled, communicative and balanced graduates.
